Specialized Polyurethane Sheets for “Quite Rooms” for Psychiatric Hospital
“Quite Rooms” or Padded Cells are applied in Psychiatric Hospitals and are designed to minimize the external simulations. Special material of polyurethane, which is very soft with hardness 15 ÷20 Shore A, and in a neutral “friendly” color for the patient.
For this application the polyurethane material is very carefully selected in order to exhibit resistance to tear and to protect the patients from any injury may occur.
The polyurethane sheet cannot be torn or removed by nail exhibiting high tear resistance and tensile strength.
We use specialized material that is not easily ignited by sparks. The material is fully adapted to ensure the best possible protection for the patients.
Some of the material’s properties:
- Hardness ranging from 15 ÷ 20 Shore A
- Friendly Neutral Color for the patients
- Not easily ignited by sparks
- High tear resistance
- High tensile strength

Impact polyurethane dampers bases are available on the production line and are placed at the terminal of gantry cranes to protect them from collisions.
The available dimensions of the spare parts are as follows:
- Ø130×125 mm with M12 screw for installation and
- Ø100×105 mm with M12 screw for installation
These products are manufactured from high quality polyurethane elastomer with a hardness 60÷70 Shore A. The hardness of the polyurethane as well as the size of the screw can vary depending on the customer’s requirements.
